Description

The byteENGINE AM437x Custom is a high performance industrial oriented computing module, meets the highest requirements and can be equipped individually. It allows a short time-to-market, while reducing development costs, substantial design risks and granting specific demands.

The system on module (SOM) uses the Texas Instruments AM437x industrial applications processor with 300/600/800/1000 MHz. The CPU features furthermore a quad core PRU with 200 MHz. Furthermore, it features a PowerVR™ SGX530 (AM4379, AM4378 only) Graphics Accelerator Subsystem for 3D graphics acceleration.

The onboard SDRAM is available up to 1024 MB. Additional, the module can be equipped with 4 GB eMMC.

The Programmable Real-Time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS) allows independent operation from the ARM processor. PRU-ICSS enables real-time protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, Ethernet Powerlink and Sercos.
